Our colleague Arie Bos, author of the popular Companion Consciousness, the Brain, and Free Will, GVO 21, which was also published in Dutch as Bewustzijn, hersenen en vrije wil, GVO 20, gave two online lectures for natural scientists in the U.S. and Canada. These lectures were based on this Companion and other books he has written: “How Matter became Mindful” (2008) (nominated for the 2009 Eureka Book Prize), “Thinking Outside the Brain Box: Why Humans Are Not Biological Computers,” translated by Philip Mees (Floris Books, 2017), and “Use Your Brain!” (2018).
